About Me
Hello!! My name is Britney and I am an on location, as well as, a studio photographer here within the Quad Cities. My husband, daughter and two amazing furbabies mean the world to me. I LOVE getting to know people and to say I am a social butterfly would be a huge understatement. I grew up in a small{er} town just outside the Quad Cities and now live in an even smaller town if you can believe that. My stubborn, hard working, bearded husband and I met in high school, and were married in our early 20's. We purchased our home the same year we got married and have been fixing it up ever since. In 2019 we welcomed a beautiful baby girl to our lives and have been completely wrapped around her little fingers since. You can catch me on the daily supporting the leggings, t-shirt and messy bun attire despite my husbands requests for "normal clothes" as I am pretty sure I only own like two pairs of jeans. Pinterest gets me into trouble on the regular. I would like to say that I am a pretty awesome person, hard working, go getter that has no trouble seeing the beauty and talent in every aspect of life but especially with photography, I am loyal to a fault, and would genuinely go to the end of the world to help a friend in need... but then again I feel I kinda am biased considering I am writing this about myself. LOL
I did not always think I would become a photographer growing up, but throughout all the different ventures I had in life, a camera was always a consistent element. I was in the banking world for eight years and continued to absorb all that I could about my camera and would take photos on the side. With the encouraging support of my husband, family and friends in the Fall of 2017 I decided to take the leap of faith and start taking photos full time and to be completely honest I was SO nervous..... now looking back - it was probably one of the best decisions I could have made and has been so genuinely rewarding! Plus I get to make my own hours and to be straight forward, I am not much of a morning person. I love getting to meet new people, and being able to share some of those incredible moments with you and your family firsthand. One of my favorite things about photography is the fact that I take such pride in that initial reveal of a photo sessions because seeing the satisfied look on my client's face is the most uplifting feeling I can get from a client, knowing that I have helped capture that moment in time that they will be able to revisit for years to come. Photography for me is one of the most fulfilling jobs a person can have and I am so honored every time someone schedules a session with me!
